What I firmly believe about mandated presents

So many times over.  Stop with the senseless, mandatory gift giving!  I'm all for random, perfectly-suited expressions of love in physical form and special treats that someone wouldn't otherwise buy for themselves, but I hate the whole institution of gift giving.  Hate.

What I need to do right now: Glitter Floor!

What I am working on right now: Being Unpopular

We're not in high school any more so why are we so concerned about being popular and making our decisions OK with "everyone"?  As Erika Napoletano says, being unpopular is all about honouring your two most important relationships – the relationship you have with those who love you for everything you are and everything you’re not, and the relationship with yourself.  I'm definitely going to be applying the blanket fort solution to my life and going to work on celebrating my own sparkly and unique human-ness.  Hell yes!  There is something glorious about being YOU!

Apparently this is a very popular thing on Pinterest but because I refuse to join Pinterest and really don't follow any blogs that feature craft things to make for or do with small children, I'd never heard of them until today.  But I think its a really fun concept and think Sci-Fi story stones are a great idea. 

If I was making my own set though, they'd probably have to be motocross themed.
